Privacy policy

Anchorfound is the data controller for personal data processed across all satellite directories listed in our portfolio. This policy describes what we collect, why, and how to exercise your GDPR rights.

What we collect

• Account data — email, name, optional avatar, role. Used to authenticate you against any satellite that accepts logins.
• Listing claim data — for venues/clubs/tools that you claim, the contact identity and verification artifacts you submit.
• Suggested edits and reviews — content you submit is associated with your account and may be displayed publicly under your chosen display name.
• Web access logs — IP address, user agent, and request path are kept for 30 days for abuse detection and incident response, then aggregated.
• Billing data — when you pay for a claimed/featured listing, we process this via Stripe (data controller for payment processing). We retain only customer ID and invoice metadata.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent personal data.
• We don't use third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or social-network share-buttons that load remote scripts.
• We don't generate fake reviews or AI-fabricated content as the primary value of any page.

Sub-processors

We rely on a small set of EU-located service providers. The current list is at /subprocessors (kept up to date; changes are announced before they take effect for paying customers).

Hosting and data residency

All application data is stored on servers physically located in the EU/EEA. We do not transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA except where strictly necessary for a well-defined integration (e.g. Stripe payment processing, where the EU MoR entity is the contractual counterparty).

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, port, restrict processing of, or erase your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@anchorfound.com. We respond within 30 days.
